Is real job experience
important to you?

We work closely with you and with industry leaders to make sure your training gives you the practical skills and knowledge you need to hit the ground running and succeed in today’s competitive job market.

Many of our programmes include structured student projects with innovative businesses. Our students get to work with reputable industries like Dimension Data, Davanti Consulting, Ecomailbox, Foodstuffs, Freeview, Fuji Xerox, goodtv, Orion Health and vega.works.

With our powerful industry relationships and connections you may even find that your job comes to you.

“The MIT student placement process enables us to work with aspiring individuals who want to enter into industry. MIT students are well supported by their MIT supervisor and they learn first-hand about giving great service, how to create working relationships and be part of a team in a business environment. This initiative enables Dimension Data to offer full-time employment opportunities to students who are already trained and ready to step into vacancies as they occur.”

Want to get qualified faster?

Your work experience or previous tertiary study may count towards achieving your qualification. Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme is designed for those who already have the on-the-job skills and knowledge, but want to take their career to the next level with a qualification.

With RPL we can measure and match your existing skills against credits in our courses – creating a tailored path of study that will not only save you money, but also help you to complete your qualification faster.

To learn more about what our Business, Digital Technology and Tourism programmes can offer you, view our available programmes by subject area, or make an appointment to speak with one of our RPL facilitators by phoning 0800 62 62 52 (or email enquiries@manukau.ac.nz).

And now with new ‘quarters’ you can focus on just two courses each quarter, with no exams, so you can optimise your study time to support your success so. Our other programmes have three start dates every year, and a shorter study programme with less down time, so you can fast track your career goals more quickly.

Some of our programmes offer daytime, evening or summer school study options to help you fit your study around your job and other commitments.
