Pasifika Staff Leadership Development Programme
MIT is committed to growing and developing its Pasifika staff capability for potential leadership roles in the various faculties and directorates across the institute. Over the last two years, 26 MIT Pasifika staff members have successfully participated on the one year MIT Pasifika Leadership Development Programme designed by MIT, to nurture and develop talented staff members.

The Fono Tagata Pasifika staff network plays a key leadership role through its formal membership on the MIT Pasifika Community Advisory Board and MIT EEO Committee. The FTP contributes valuable Pasifika staff perspectives to the roles and function of these two institute advisory committees. Network members also make valuable contributions to Faculty and Service Centre areas, and the range of institute advisory committees.

The MIT Pasifika Development Office plays an active role in the Leadership Pacific Auckland Cluster. Leadership Pacific, a network of Pacific peoples (individuals and communities) who practice, study and teach leadership to enhance the capacity for leadership in Pacific communities.
