Tertiary Partnerships – Domestic and International
MIT has established formal Memorandum’s of Cooperation (MoC’s) with various Tertiary education institutions from within the Pacific region. These important partnerships are co-ordinated and managed by the Pasifika Development Office which include the following;
- National University of Samoa - www.nus.edu.ws
- Brigham Young University Hawaii - www.byuh.edu
Discussions have also been earmarked with other tertiary institutions in the Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau and Fiji. Building strategic tertiary partnerships has been an important priority for MIT to broaden MIT’s international profile and also to develop joint opportunities for:
- student and staff exchange programmes
- information sharing
- technical support
- curriculum development
- cultural exchange programmes
- short courses
