The Teaching Faculty
The highly qualified and experienced academic staff are committed to the provision of high quality education. Many have overseas experience. They and others in the Faculty of Business have international industry experience and are actively engaged in research and consultancies. They have a real understanding of the diverse range of skills required for success in modern business.
The expertise and practical approach of the Faculty to Business management studies have been recognised throughout Australia and in the international arena, resulting in Southern Cross University being commissioned by a range of public and private sector organisations to design and deliver graduate programmes to their employees. Telstra, Air Niugini, NSW Department of Corrective Services, Ansett, Australian Department of Defence, Australian Tax Office, NSW State Department of Health, and Sheraton Hotels are among the most recent organisations to have the Southern Cross University Business School deliver courses to groups of their staff.
The Faculty of Business is also commissioned by the public and private sector to design and deliver management programmes to their employees.
The Faculty recognise that industry relevance is the key to the success of any postgraduate management programme and, importantly, to the success of the participants in such a programme. To satisfy such an aim staff participate in research, consulting, and visiting lectureships in other Australian, New Zealand and overseas institutions.
