In the world of business there is always a demand for highly skilled, well-trained administrators and support staff. Manukau Institute of Technology's School of Business Services recreates a business environment, with all the technology that's found in a modern office and our simulated call centre ensures a major emphasis on customer service and satisfaction.
The school offers a staircase of flexible study programmes with multiple entry and exit points, and the opportunity to study towards nationally recognised qualifications. Full and part time study options are available. For those already in the workforce, "earn and learn" options allow you to fit study around work and other commitments.
MIT's strong links with industry ensure that students' learning is relevant, and the programmes are designed to prepare graduates for a wide variety of office positions as well as providing pathways for ongoing study. These positions include options such as administrators, personal assistants, clerical assistants, word processing operators, secretaries and receptionists, or specialise in medical, financial or frontline administration, or Contact Centre operations.
The school has pleasant and modern rooms in its custom built building, including seven rooms of networked PC's, two modern business centres, and a simulated call centre.
