Francesca combines an academic career with wide-ranging experience as a journalist, writer, reviewer and editor. Her academic interests include media writing, professional and business writing and media studies. Francesca is editor of DANZ Quarterly, New Zealand’s national magazine which profiles contemporary, artistic, social and recreational dance. She is dance writer and reviewer for the New Zealand Listener, the leading arts and current affairs weekly, and is also collaborating in the writing of a biography of New Zealand contemporary dance pioneer, Boukje van Zon.
