English for Study Purposes
ESP courses are offered over 18 weeks full time study. Entry requirements stipulate an English proficiency test and an interview. On satisfactory completion students are awarded a Certificate qualification.
This full time course is for more advanced students who plan to continue their study in an institute of technology or university. Students continue to learn and practice general advanced language, and also focus on developing the skills needed for academic and practical courses. The programme covers: study skills, note taking from lectures, research, seminar presentation, problem solving, critical thinking, writing essays and assignments, and examination techniques. After completing this course, students will have the language and study skills to study at diploma and degree levels.
Career opportunities include business, international trade and tourism. Courses start in February and July.
