The School of English at Manukau Institute of Technology, Auckland is an accredited IELTS test centre.

What is IELTS?

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System which tests English proficiency across the globe. Conducting one million tests globally, IELTS is the world’s most popular English testing system.

Over 1.2 million candidates take the test each year to start their journeys into international education and employment.

IELTS is recognised by more than 6000 institutions across 120 countries.

IELTS is used to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the first language. IELTS is accepted by many professional organisations as an indication of English ability, including the New Zealand Immigration Service, the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, and the UK Medical Council. It is also recognised by most New Zealand, Australian, British and Canadian academic institutions.

The fee for all IELTS tests in 2012 is NZ$355 GST incl.
