SSTS for Students and Families
The School of Secondary- Tertiary Studies gives students the opportunity to receive NCEA equivalent qualifications as well as focus on other vocational areas of interest at MIT – all FREE for four years at SSTS.
Our main goal is to help students gain a job or career through the achievement of NCEA and/ or vocational training, along with other valuable employment skills like:
- Goal setting
- Interpersonal skills
- Planning
- Self management
- Team work
Because it is vitally important to look after our students above and beyond their academic needs, a high level of academic advice and pastoral care is also provided. This includes study and learning support, career and course advice, plus a health and counselling service.
Gaining an NCEA and vocational qualification with SSTS at MIT will open doors for you to step into a job/career or lead you into a world of possibilities in other tertiary fields.
Speak to your school principal or contact someone from our team to see if SSTS is right for you.
