About the Programme
The National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) is for people currently employed in the construction industry, who are not apprenticed, nor have acquired a carpentry qualification. It provides the opportunity to study part time and have their skills formally recognised by gaining credits towards a national qualification. Students can gain both theoretical and practical units which, with their on-site skills and knowledge, lead to the completion of the National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4). The three year programme may be considerably reduced if students have gained credits from previous study at a polytechnic or have had suitable work experience.
