About the Programme
This Certificate of Achievement is aimed at those wanting to work in the field of medical administration within the private or public sector of health, and those already working in the field who want to upskill and gain qualifications. The programme assumes that students already have generic administration and office computing skills. It can be studied during the evening and takes two semesters of study to complete.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Have the National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3) or the Manukau Institute of Technology Certificate in Office Administration and Computing (Level 3) or equivalent or
- Have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English i.e. a minimum of 44 NCEA credits at Level 2 or above including 12 credits in English or equivalent, or a minimum mark of 16 out of 20 in the Department’s communication assessment, or an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.5 with no score below 5.0 or equivalent, or a pass in an approved communication paper with a written English component at Level 2 or above and
- Have word processing and spreadsheet skills (minimum units 111 and 2784) or equivalent skills.
