About the Programme
This is an introductory qualification designed to develop basic computing skills. The programme is currently offered parttime. Flexible study times allow students to fit study around other commitments. The programme combines self-paced classroom delivery guided by facilitators, with self-directed learning supported by online technology. There are four subject clusters – word processing, graphics, computer applications, and personal computer operations.
Offered at eight Auckland locations: Howick, Mangere, Manukau, Meadowbank, Otara, Papakura, Pukekohe and Three Kings.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- A New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- It is recommended that applicants can use an email system and have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
There will be a tick-box on the application form that students check to say that they have email knowledge and basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
Note: If applicants do not have email experience a free short introductory course is available.
Applicants will be accepted in order of application.
