About the Programme
Expand your knowledge and skill base in computing
The National Certificate in Computing (Level 3) builds on the skills you gained in the Level 2 qualification. A flexible, part-time learning style allows you to fit study around your other commitments, combining self-paced classroom delivery with self-directed web-based components. Facilitators are available to assist and guide you.
The material covered by this programme expands on the skills developed in Level 2, including more advanced spreadsheet skills, desktop publishing, database handling, word processing and basics of web design, preparing you for roles such as office assistant or receptionist.
Want to take your studies further?
Graduates with this qualification will be well prepared to begin the National Certificate in Business Administration and MIT Certificate in Information and Communications Technology (Level 4).

- National Certificate in Computing (Level 2) or equivalent.
Applicants will be accepted in order of application.

Programme Summary
In the National Certificate in Computing (Level 3), students complete the following courses:
- Advanced Computer Applications
- Computer and IT Operations
- Computer Theory
- Graphics and Presentation.
Plus one of the following:
- Advanced Word Processing
- Introductory Website Design
Further Training or Study
National Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4)
MIT Certificate in Information and Communications Technology (Level 4)
Career Opportunities
Positions such as a Help Desk Operator, Computer Operator, Junior Web Developer, Administrator, or junior multimedia roles. A career pathway will depend on options chosen, previous experience and skill base.
