Improve your leadership skills for business success
If you're seeking a career or to upskill as in middle management or looking to run your small to medium business more profitably, a New Zealand Diploma in Business with a specialisation in management will equip you with an all-round skill set to lead and manage successful teams. You will not only learn all about leadership and human resources but will also gain skills in business management, accounting, commercial law and economics.
Upon graduation you may pursue careers in areas such in middle management, human resources, or as a successful business owner/manager.
You can complete the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Management) in just two years of full-time study or up to four years of part-time study. Direct entry is possible and is subject to eligibility.
By graduation you’ll be ready to pursue a career in the business world or undertake further study with our Bachelor of Business.
Specialisations are also offered in accounting, marketing and tourism. You may also choose to complete the New Zealand Diploma in Business without a specialisation.

Entry Requirements
Students less than 20 years old must have:
- A minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or higher in mathematics or pangarau on the National Qualifications Framework
- 50 credits at Level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects including a minimum of 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or higher in English or te reo Māori, 4 credits must be in reading and 4 credits must be in writing. The literacy credits will be selected from a schedule of approved achievement standards and unit standards. The schedule may be found on the NZQA website at http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/ncea/for-students/ue/litreqs.html
- Literacy credits may contribute to the requirement of the above, provided that a total of 12 credits have been achieved in English or te reo Māori or equivalent to the above requirements.
International Students where English is a second language must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.5 or equivalent.
Applicants will be accepted in order of application.

NZDipBus without Specialisation.
Students complete 12 courses:
Any six of the following:
Level 4
- Accounting Principles

Plus at least four Level 6 courses.
Plus any two Level 4, 5 and 6 courses.

Further Training or Study
Students commencing the New Zealand Diploma in Business can select a pathway that could lead to the NZ Diploma in Business, the Bachelor of Applied Management and this pathway selection will maximise the cross-credits they gain.
