The Certificate in Light Automotive Technology (Level 3) allows students to enter the automotive repair industry as a Technician. It covers the diagnosis, repair and service procedures for most of the major vehicle systems. Successful students will gain Level 3 units towards the National Certificate in Engineering.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the one of the following entry requirements:- MIT Certificate in Automotive Level 2
- MIT Certificate in Automotive Electrical Level 2
- MIT Certificate in Motorsport Level 2
- National Certificate in Entry to Automotive Trades Level 2
OR - Have equivalent industry experience; These applicants will be required to present a portfolio of evidence to support this.
And - Be physically capable of completing the practical aspects of the programme.
And - Have English language competence to undertake this programme which is delivered in English. Any applicant whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of an ELTS (academic) band score of 5.5 with no band below 5.00 or equivalent.
