About the Programme
This programme is designed to introduce students to the world of managed motorsport events. As well as gaining the skills required to modify a vehicle for participation in motorsport, this certificate also provides students with the opportunity to move into other areas in the automotive engineering, automotive electrical, motor body and vehicle refinishing trades.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Be physically capable of completing the practical aspects of the programme.
- Have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. Any applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.5 (with no score below 5.0) or equivalent.
Where the programme is oversubscribed preference will be given to applicants who:
- Demonstrate current involvement within the Motorsport fraternity, for example car club membership, race team association, work experience in related fields.
- Can show evidence of the ability to commit to the achievement of set goals, for example: School reports, sporting achievements, community involvement, STAR, PTE training or Certificate of Achievement.
All short-listed applicants will attend an interview to determine correct career choices are being taken. Whanau support will be encouraged during the interview process.

Programme Summary
Based in Pukekohe, this innovative and flexible programme is designed to give students experience in a range of trade disciplines within the automotive industry, and to gain sufficient knowledge and skills under supervision to prepare an automotive vehicle for participation in motorsport.
