This Training Opportunities programme targets refugees and family members wishing to explore work options within the automotive and construction trades. The Semester 1 programme will focus on Construction Trades. The Semester 2 programme will focus on Automotive Trades.

Entry Requirements
Training Opportunities entry criteria apply. Generally, Training Opportunities programmes are restricted to people who are either recent school leavers or people who are registered as job seekers with Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ).

Courses include:
- Skills in automotive/construction trades in workshops
- Working and training in the automotive trades
- Language, literacy and numeracy skills required for working in automotive/construction trades
- Communication skills in English
- Basic computer skills
- Work experience (two weeks)
