National Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4) Medical SpecialisationMiddlemore Hospital, Ward Clerk
"I returned to study after 25 years in a job which was made redundant. I was really nervous about going back to study but I knew it was time for a new direction in my life and the only way I was going to achieve that was by getting a qualification.
So, I chose to do the Business Administration (Medical) Certificate course at MIT, and I’m so glad I did. The first month of study I wondered what I had let myself in for as my poor old brain struggled with learning after so long! But the staff were really helpful and encouraging and after a few months I realised I wasn’t too old to learn and really started to enjoy the course.
It gave me the confidence and skills to find work after I completed the course. I now work on Ward Six at Middlemore Hospital as a Ward Clerk. It’s a very busy role and I know that what I learned on the Business Administration course has given me the foundation I needed for my job."
