Graduate Profile
Robyn Connal
Foundation Studies Preparation for PolicingPolice Officer, Counties Manukau
Robyn Connal’s journey to become a police officer began later than most, but this determined woman was not going to be put off by her age. Robyn completed the Foundation Studies Preparation for Policing course, before heading off to Porirua near Wellington to complete the 19-week training course to become a sworn police officer.
Not only did Robyn complete the training, but she also scooped the section prize, awarded to an individual from each section who, in the collective view of the members of the section and the wing instructors, made the greatest contribution to the overall success of the team.
Robyn is now a member of the Family Violence Intervention Team working out of the Manurewa Police Station, and continues to make a valuable contribution to her community on a daily basis.
