Seeing a nurse
Our registered nurses are available to help with a wide range of health issues. No appointment is necessary.
Services include:
- General health and wellbeing advice
- Holistic health checks
- Weight management and lifestyle change
- Sexual health
- Smoking cessation
- Blood tests (conditions apply)
- Vaccinations
- Wound care and accident services
- Blood pressure checks
- Hearing and vision tests
- Pregnancy tests
- Emergency contraception
- Cardiac risk assessment
Please note that some services may incur a small charge.
Seeing a doctor
The doctor is available for consultation during limited clinic hours, Monday to Friday. An appointment is necessary to see the doctor.
Making an appointment
For information or to make an appointment, please phone (09) 968 8072 or drop in to the Health and Counselling Centre.
If you are seeing the Doctor and feel your appointment may take longer than the general 15 minute consultation, please tell the receptionist when booking. You are welcome to bring a support person and/or interpreter when seeing any of our staff.
Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your appointments.
Please bring these items with you to your appointment:
- Your student ID card
- Your community services card, if you have one.
- Your Student Safe insurance ID card and passport if you are an international student.
