The Learning Support Centre offers quality-learning services to aid students reach their potential. We can teach you a wide range of techniques that will improve your efficiency with study and your ability to get better marks.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No, you can drop in for a quick chat or make an appointment for 45 minutes.
I'm having trouble getting organised...can you help?
Yes - We have lots of practical advice to get you motivated and organised. You can come in, talk to us and pick up a resource to get started. You can also check out our time management information on eMIT.
Will you proof read my assignments?
No - but we can teach you strategies that you can use to edit and proof read your own work.
What is a peer tutor?
A peer tutor is a successful senior student who is employed by the Learning Support Centre to assist other students with their course work.
What is a study group?
It consists of a group of 5-8 students who get support on an aspect of their course. It is facilitated by an advisor.
How can I improve my spoken English?
You can attend one of our conversation classes. The times are Monday and Thursday: 3.00-4.00pm, and Wednesday: 11.30am -12.30pm.
