Maintenance and Reliability Training

Local industry will greatly benefit from Vibration Analysis training delivered by the Vibration Analysis Institute of Australia.

Vibration Analysis training enables staff to detect the early signs of machine failure and ensure the overall reliability of machinery.  The training is vital for the manufacturing industry where machinery breakdowns cost companies huge dollars in labour and replacement parts.  When trained staff are available to find faults and fix them, the down-time for machinery or a production line is reduced, which increases overall productivity.

This training will be offered here at MIT in 2018 and will encourage proactive approaches to maintenance engineering and plant reliability to improve efficiency and reduce the costs for New Zealand companies.

Who should attend

The Vibration Specialist 'Advanced' course is intended for personnel who have at least two years vibration analysis experience and a thorough understanding of vibration theory and terminology.  The course provides an in-depth study of diagnostic measurement techniques and their associated applications.

It is expected that the attendee is either the leader of the vibration team, or takes a leading role in diagnosing faults and making the final recommendation.  This person must fully understand all of the data collector options, special test capabilities, and analysis tools; and must understand the widest range of fault condition.  The course will give the analyst all of the skills and knowledge necessary to solve all fault conditions, and to run a successful condition monitoring program.
