Workshop Description Day and Time
Maths for Trade Calculations

This is for students who need an introduction to, or review of Place values, Rounding, Fractions, Decimals Percentages, Measurements and Ratio.

We strongly recommended this workshop for students who have enrolled Trade calculations, Construction and Engineering (level 3) or have done no mathematics.

Conversation club Get together with others for a friendly roundtable opportunity to practice English speaking skills. Wednesday

Engineering Maths

Designed for students who are studying engineering mathematics courses and find they need to strengthen their algebra and calculus skills.

The topics covered will be variables, expressions, expanding, factorisation, simplification of algebraic expressions, solving equations, word problems, logarithms, graphs, differentiation and integration.





IELTS Revision/PreparationThis is recommended for students who are preparing for the IELTS test. Monday
Independent learning

Although there are always highly qualified advisors available for appointments, there is also the opportunity for independent learning to take place at the Learning Support Centre.

With a huge range of resources constantly being developed and updated, the staff can guide you to find resources that will allow you work on your own. 

Plus, you'll have 24-hour access to many useful Learning Support online resources at eMIT.
