Course structure

With an emphasis on pronunciation of significant names, places and spaces this course is designed to have you actively participate in speaking Te Reo. You’ll gain confidence and familiarise yourself with basic mihi (greetings), waiaita (song), karakia (blessings) and general language. You will be guided by both Kaikōrero Māori (native fluent speakers) and those who have undergone formal qualifications as teachers of Te Reo.

*All Level 1 and 2 programmes will be free in 2019 for New Zealand citizens, residents entitled to reside in New Zealand indefinitely, and refugees and protected persons (under the Immigration Act 2009), of all ages. Excludes First Aid certificate courses. Proof of residency status required, entry criteria, and some costs may also apply. Free study is subject to funding confirmation.
