Course structure

The Cultural Competency Workshop is an introduction for teams working with Māori people in the workplace so that staff are empowered with the knowledge to engage effectively and genuinely with Māori people and community groups.

The term Tikanga is at the centre of Māori values about the correct way of treating all people with respect and courtesy according to traditional Māori customs.

Within this course we will provide learners with a range of information about Māori customs, and language.  This enables participants to learn from the past to more effectively engage with Māori today. Learners will be guided by bilingual Māori trainers who have worked in New Zealand workplaces and who have education experiences working with diverse learners within a New Zealand context.

These workshops can also be customised for organisations. For more information please contact
