Certificate in Introduction to Trades (Level 2)
This certificate is a 40 credit programme that prepares students for entry into certificate level study in trades.

MIT Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4)
This programme is your foundation for a career in the building industry. If you're a mature student or school leaver, with no industry experience, this certificate will give you the knowledge and practical, hands-on experience to work towards the National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4).
National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4)
(Includes Builders Upskilling Option)
If you're a builder or carpentry tradesman currently employed in the construction industry but have not obtained an apprenticeship, then this programme can give you the skills formally recognised by gaining credits towards a national certification. The Builders Upskilling Option will assist you in meeting the criteria required for a Builders Licence. The option is aimed at people currently employed in the construction industry wishing to gain a current carpentry qualification. Make the move now by taking the first step.
National Certificate in Construction (Leading Hand) (Level 4)
Are you a leading hand in the construction industry or, are you ready to take the next step up in your career but need the formal skills and knowledge required to move into construction management? Then find out more about this qualification as the certificate can also assist your application for a Site 1 Builder's Licence.
National Certificate in Construction (Supervisors) (Level 5)
Construction supervisors currently employed in the construction industry and wishing to move into construction management need look no further. As well as assisting your application for a Site 2 Builder's Licence, the certificate can give you the formal skills and knowledge required to make it to the top.
Certificate in Plumbing and Gasfitting (Level 3)
If you want to become an apprentice or trainee in the plumbing industry then this certificate will certainly help get you there. The programme focuses on residential plumbing, so trainees will gain skills and knowledge in all aspects of gasfitting systems, drainlaying and roofing.
*All our pre-trade programme students attend MIT three days per week and are encouraged to work in the industry during the balance of the week.
