Programme fees and study costs
The programme fees found on this website and in the brochures are indicative only. Your final study costs will depend on a number of factors including the courses you select to study.
In addition to your course tuition fee you may pay additional costs such as uniforms, equipment, textbooks or course material. You must also pay a fee that goes towards providing services to students (compulsory student services fee). This fee is $171 for full time students but less if you are studying part time.
MIT undertook a consultation process on the student services fee with 2016 MIT Student Executive Voice.
If you have any questions about fees and study costs please feel free to contact the faculty for your programme.
International students should contact MIT International for the latest international programme fee information.
Payment of fees
It is your responsibility to pay all fees and charges relating to your enrolment, and to meet all collection charges with debt recovery.
Attendance at any class without the full fees having been paid is a breach of Institute policy, and the Institute may take such steps as necessary to collect outstanding fees. Refunds and withdrawals will be processed in accordance with Student Regulations.
Fees should be paid in full or arrangements made for payment e.g. applying for a student loan by the start of the programme.
Ways to pay your fees
There are several ways you can pay your fees.
Pay by cash, cheque or credit card
Cash (including EFTPOS) and credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard) are handled by the Cashier's Office which is located in the Information Centre.
The Cashier's Office is open on Monday to Friday from 8.00am - 4.00pm (closed public holidays).
For further information on fee payments, read the Student Regulations handbook found on the student regulations and policies page.
