Biography

Tamara started her career as an Apprentice Chef at HIPGROUP establishments (Rosie, Takapuna Beach Cafe, Cafe on Kohi, Richmond Road Cafe, St Heliers Bay Cafe and Bistro and Provenance). She then competed in culinary competitions and took out the Apprentice of the Year Title in 2013.

She ventured to Orlando Florida for an internship at The Hyatt Regency Hotel. Tamara has worked in Michelin Restaurants in Stockholm and the United Kingdom and with top Chefs in New Zealand such as Des Harris, Josh Emett, Michael Dearth, Ben Bayley, Michael Meredith, Sid Sahrawat and Vaughan Mabee.

She has been Head Chef at Madam Woo in Takapuna and The Tasting Shed in Kumeu.

She has also worked on NZ Food TV Shows such as Masterchef, My Kitchen Rules, Snackmasters and Cooks on Fire.

Tamara continues to develop her skills in the industry with her connection to NZ Chefs Association and as a Team Leader for Thermomix NZ.
