Biography

Christianah is a Senior Academic Lecturer at the School of Nursing, Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT). She teaches in the undergraduate programme and supports students in the simulation learning suite and during their clinical placements.

She has a passion for teaching as she believes in realising the full potential of every student. She also has a passion for caring for older people, and this was the reason she retrained as a registered nurse.

She has worked in various clinical settings such as public health nursing, gastroenterology ward, plastics and reconstructive surgery ward, and aged residential care facilities. She has also worked as a clinical educator and as a clinical specialty nurse in a community geriatric service with one of our public hospitals.
