Abstract: Vignettes are a widely-used research tool in investigating ethical decision-making. Although several studies have discussed the creation of original vignettes used in social and behavioral research, papers detailing the process involved in their development are limited. This methodological paper explains a seven-step process used to develop written and video vignettes employed as a tool in ethical decision-making in the context of a developing country with a unique cultural system, Sri Lanka.
