Are you wanting to move into a supervisory role in the construction industry?
Gain the work-ready skills to get a job as a main contract supervisor on a construction site. The bonus is you earn while you learn.
This programme is for anyone wanting to take the next step in their construction career and/or those already working in supervisory roles who want to have their skills recognised.
You must be employed in the construction industry and have employer approval for access to supervision opportunities within their company of employment.

Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- A level 4 qualification in a construction related area or equivalent work experience.
- Special and discretionary admission is available.
- Applicants must be employed in the construction industry and have employer approval for access to supervision opportunities within their company of employment.
- It is expected that applicants for this programme will have technical knowledge, skills, and experience in a construction-related trade that they will be supervising.
English language entry requirements
International applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 (general or academic) with no individual band lower than 5 from one test taken in the preceding two years, or an equivalent described in NZQA Rules.

Further training or study
This qualification may lead to the New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Level 6) with strands in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, and the New Zealand Diploma in Architectural Technology (Level 6).
Career opportunities
Graduates of the construction-related trades strand will be able to work in a construction-related trade in a range of supervisory roles including Team Leader, Supervisor, Operations Team Leader, or Operations Supervisor.
With further training and/or work experience, graduates may be able to move into management roles within residential building, commercial construction, construction-related trades, or manufacturing.
