Biography

Anne has a background in Mental Health and Addictions Nursing, for over 20 years before completing her Master’s degrees in Counselling and Expressive Therapies (AUT) and Arts therapies (Whitecliffe College). She holds Clinical certificates in Dance Movement Therapies and EMDR (Otago University). Anne has worked as a creative arts and movement therapist in a range of settings including; mental health, eating disorders, schools, private practice and she now specialises in creative therapies and counselling working with trauma, as an ACC sensitive claims provider. Academically Anne has worked as a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland, lecturing and practicum co-ordinator for the Master’s in dance movement therapy programme. She also teaches and supervises and mentors creative therapies and dance/movement therapy students and professionals.
