“I grew up in Papatoetoe, South Auckland and decided to pursue a degree in visual arts at MIT. Like many students at MIT I was the first one in my family to study for a degree. After graduating and working in the creative industries as a web designer, I got a part-time and then a full-time role as a computing lecturer at MIT and my journey here continues. I have had the opportunity to partner with industry, present at an international conference, and complete my master’s degree.”
