Baking and patisserie

Whether it's great tasting pies, hand-shaped artisan breads or spectacularly decorated cakes, the baking industry is always evolving. As a skilled baker you could get a slice of this action.

Our baking programmes deliver all the practical skills you need from cakes, biscuit, pastry and bread making to the fundamentals of patisserie in our bakery, fitted out with the relevant commercial equipment.

You will learn core skills in literacy, numeracy and communication and get hands-on experience in your practical lessons and on bakery sale days.

As an MIT graduate you will have a high rate of success finding work in your chosen field. With this qualification, you have the opportunity to work in bakeries, cake shops, cafes, catering, supermarket instore bakeries and many more.
