Biography

Sashi’s relationship with MIT dates back to 2003 when she was an international student studying the New Zealand Diploma in Business, majoring in Marketing and Management. She returned in 2013 as a local student to complete her degree, majoring in Accounting and Marketing. She is an MIT alumni and has been an IELTS Operations Coordinator for over 5 years. Sashi left a credit analyst role at a bank to join MIT in 2017.

She ensures that a very high standard of IELTS testing is delivered under British Council rules and regulations on test day in four different venues – Otara, Manukau, Hamilton and Tauranga. Sashi also ensures that the test day staff are fully trained and understand the requirements of their role. As an emigrant herself, she fully appreciates the emotional and financial struggles of test takers thus ensuring that each test taker is well looked after when they register with the MIT IELTS Centre.

The multiple relaxing spaces at Otara campus, nice and neat gardens, clean spacious surroundings and multi-cultured MIT whanau keeps Sashi attracted to MIT as a place to work and study. Her next wish is to study Te Reo with MIT.

Why I love MIT

I enjoy MIT’s work environment, spacious places to sit around, relax and chill in between work. MIT has many staff rooms, outdoor benches and eating places in Otara campus. Also, the plants, trees and gardens give a very relaxing atmosphere to work and learn.
