Biography:
Nicola began her career in hairdressing at the age of 17 straight from school. She did her 4-year apprenticeship in a unisex barbershop in Ellerslie for the first 2 years before moving on to a bigger salon in Manukau city centre. Upon finishing her apprenticeship and at the age of 21 she purchased my own salon. She then had her family of 3 children and sold the salon after 6 years of business.
Why I love MIT:
I love that my knowledge is now being passed on to the students and seeing the connection they have with the industry. We have a great new facility that enables us to mirror our industry as best as we can.
