Learn how to care for people as a healthcare assistant or support worker.
These programmes give you the necessary skills and experience to work within a range of healthcare settings - from hospital to residential aged care.
You will gain specialist knowledge to care for people in a range of settings and at the same time building confidence and competence in our state of the art clinical learning suite.
You’ll be supported to succeed throughout your journey. At Manukau campus, you will have access to a Kaiawhina, a Pasifika support person, a Whānau and a Mā Tātou room.
Programmes
The following programmes are available in this area of study:
Level 3
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Specialise in health assistance or support work
Level 4
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) (Level 4) Specialise in community healthwork or mental health and addiction support
