Biography:
Jo is an experienced senior counsellor and supervisor with experience in both private practice and counselling agencies. She began her time at MIT as a student counsellor in 2019. In June 2020, Jo became a Lecturer Academic Researcher, specialising in counselling theory and practice, which includes helping students in their first practicum. She is passionate about sharing her love of counselling to her students. She is an Academic Team Lead (Support) and helps students who are struggling with their study due to personal circumstances.
Why I love MIT:
For me, working at MIT. is all about being with the students, supporting and encouraging them to achieve their study dreams and goals. I want to impart the skills and tools they need to be successful. My ultimate dream is that they become competent, safe and ethically practising counsellors who help their clients during troubled times.
