Who is eligible to attend a programme?

Participants must:

  • Be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be in paid employment of the company undertaking the programme
  • Not currently be undertaking study with an ITO
How long is a programme?

The length of a programme run in partnership with Manukau Institute of Technology is 48 hours.

How many hours a week do participants attend sessions?

The 48 hour programme can be divided in sessions which suit the company. However, there is a requirement of not less than one or a more than 4 hours per week.

Where does the training take place and when?

Sessions are run at your workplace at a time that suits all parties.

What do participants receive at the end of a programme?

Each participant receives a Certificate of Attendance from Manukau Institute of Technology.

What does the company supply?

We expect the company would supply:

  • A training area
  • Table and chairs
  • A secure area for the tutor and participants to leave material
How do we know who is suitable to attend a programme?

The MIT team will work with the company to complete a pre-assessment which will ascertain this.
