MIT Health Centre changes

The MIT Health Centre will no longer offer medical services after 8 June. See more information here.

The MIT Health Centre will continue to offer medical services until 8 June 2018.

Counselling services will continue from L Block on Otara South Campus and the new Manaaki Hub at the Manukau Campus.

After 8 June 2018 medical services will no longer be offered by the MIT Health Centre. It is important for all current and previous patients, both registered and casual to note the following arrangements and take action appropriately:

Registered patients

  • Registered patients should make arrangements as soon as possible to select a new General Practice, either from the Partner Practices, or any practice of their choice.
Once you have enrolled with the new practice, the MIT Health Centre will be authorised to release medical records to your new General Practice.
  • All registered patient medical records still being held by MIT on 8 June 2018 will be transferred to Botany Junction Medical Centre, who will have responsibility for registered patients ongoing care.

Casual patients

  • Casual patients that are already a patient at another GP clinic and would like your medical records to be sent there, can contact the Health Centre before 8 June to organize a transfer of their files.
  • If you have been a casual patient in the past, please note that any recalls you may have with MIT Health Centre such as cervical smears or regular blood tests will no longer be automatically updated and sent to you. It is important you see your regular GP to make arrangements or with an alternative provider if you prefer.
  • All remaining medical records still held by MIT on 8th June 2018 will be transferred to Botany Junction Medical Centre.
