Biography

After beginning my career in towing and work vessels, I moved to passenger ferries and company duty management.

While on the water I always had a special interest in crew training and development and have continued this with the NZ Maritime School. I have specialist skills and qualifications in Human Factors, as well as the Psychology of Risk, and wish to use these to assist students and companies begin to understand the complex side of people within the maritime environment.

I take special interest in student learning and hope to make every student’s journey enriching, challenging and successful.
