Biography

Starting with MIT in 2014 in a Business Development role, Anita was instrumental in delivering success by exceeding targets for student industry placement for 3 consecutive years. As a result of her work in this area, she was awarded the ‘Performance Excellence Award’ and ‘Living the Value Award’ in 2016 and promoted to Business Development Manager.

Prior to her joining MIT, Anita was a lecturer and business training facilitator for 10 years, in addition to owning and managing her own training and consulting company. Anita has been a Justice of the Peace for New Zealand since 2008 and has held several board-governance roles.

Anita’s earlier career includes roles with ATEED in economic development, where she held roles including Community Economic Development Manager, Retail and Services Sector Manager and Agency Manager. She brings a breadth of skills and experience that span commercial and industry knowledge, operational planning, strategic development and people leadership to the team at MIT.
