Recognised by employers and educational institutions, this qualification demonstrates your ability to use English for both every day and academic purposes. Literacy and numeracy assessments will help track your progress along the way.
Before you enrol, we recommend completing the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Applied) (Level 3).

Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry criteria:
- NZ1882 NZC English Language (General) Level 3; Or
- IELTS 5 with no band below 4.5 or equivalent.
Interview Requirements: Applicants may be required to complete a placement assessment and/or interview as part of the application process to determine the appropriate NZCEL programme level for enrolment.
