Getting to campus

Have you thought about how you’ll get to where you’ll be studying? Here’s a few options to consider while you plan your travel journey.

MIT Otara (North and South Campus)

Do you have your own transport?

South Campus: You can park in the public car park in Newbury Street, between McDonald's and the Otara Town Centre.

North Campus: There is parking available in the multi-level car parking building, at Gate 11, Otara Road.

Are you using public transport?

There is a bus interchange on East Tamaki Road with a short walk up to north campus. A number of local bus services also go past the North Campus via Otara Road.

Once you’re here on campus and have your Student ID card, you can purchase AT Hop cards from the Student Café in NP block.

MIT Manukau

Are you using public transport?

We are located above the Manukau Train Station and beside the Manukau Bus Terminal making it ideal to catch a bus or train. Most buses stop on the doorstep of MIT and there are frequent train services running to the Manukau station.

Once you’re here at MIT Manukau and have your Student ID, it’s really easy to purchase AT Hop cards and sort out your student concession from the train station or bus terminal.

Do you have your own transport?

There is some student parking located in the carpark next to the MIT Manukau building. This carpark has a pay and display onsite. Car parking is available for students with disabilities.

Check out more information on the parking at MIT Manukau here.

MIT Mangere

Our School of Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying is located at MIT Mangere on Mahunga Drive, Mangere.

Do you have your own transport?

There is car parking available at the school.

Are you using public transport?

There are bus routes that will allow you to use public transport. We recommend you use the Auckland Transport Journey Planner to plan your journey.

City Campus

We recommend using public transport to get to the City campus as it is conveniently located opposite the Britomart Transport Centre. Whether you're travelling by bus, train or ferry, it's easily accessible from any part of Auckland.

Public car parking is available nearby, but is very expensive.
