Getting to campus

Plan how you'll get to where you're studying.

Have you thought about how you’ll get to where you’ll be studying? Here’s a few options to consider while you plan your travel journey.

MIT Ōtara

Gate 11 and Gate 12, Ōtara Road, Ōtara or Gate 13 and 14, Alexander Crescent, Ōtara.

Are you using public transport?

There is a bus interchange on East Tamaki Road with a short walk up to Ōtara campus. A number of local bus services also go past the North Campus via Ōtara Road.

Need to travel between MIT Ōtara and MIT Manukau or MIT TechPark?

Bus 361 From Ōtara Road/Lappington Road. Bus stop 6387 (opposite 52 Ōtara Road) to the Manukau Bus Station. An approximate 20-minute direct route, running approximately every 20 minutes. $1.55 HOP tertiary fare*

Bus 325 From Ōtara Road/Lappington Road. Bus stop 6387 (opposite 52 Ōtara Road). An approximate 30 minute route, which runs hourly on half hour with more regular services between 7-10am and 3-7pm. $1.55 HOP tertiary fare*

Routes are subject to change, so we recommend that you use the Auckland Transport Journey Planner to confirm the scheduled bus services and times.

Once you’re here on campus and have your Student ID card, you can purchase AT Hop cards from the Student Café in NP block.

Do you have your own transport?

There is free parking available in the multi-level car parking building, at Gate 11, Ōtara Road. Other parking on campus is paid. Find out about the car parking charges here.


MIT Manukau

Are you using public transport?

We are located above the Manukau Train Station and beside the Manukau Bus Terminal making it ideal to catch a bus or train. Most buses stop on the doorstep of MIT and there are frequent train services running to the Manukau station.

We recommend you use the Auckland Transport Journey Planner to plan your journey.

Once you’re here at MIT Manukau and have your Student ID, it’s really easy to purchase AT Hop cards and sort out your student concession from the train station or bus terminal.

Do you have your own transport?

There is some student parking located in the car park next to the MIT Manukau building. This car park has a pay and display on site. Car parking is available for students with disabilities.

MIT TechPark

Are you using public transport?

We are located across the road from MIT Manukau, the Manukau Train Station and the Manukau Bus Terminal making it ideal to catch a bus or train. Most buses stop on the doorstep of MIT and there are frequent train services running to the Manukau station.

Once you’re here at MIT TechPark and have your Student ID, it’s really easy to purchase AT Hop cards and sort out your student concession from the train station or bus terminal.

Do you have your own transport?

There is bicycle, motorbike, scooter and electric car charging parking available onsite.

There are limited car parking spaces with control barriers. Find more information on the parking at MIT TechPark here.


City campus

We recommend using public transport to get to the City campus as it is conveniently located opposite the Britomart Transport Centre. Whether you're travelling by bus, train or ferry, it's easily accessible from any part of Auckland.

Public car parking is available nearby but is very expensive.
