Break Time Nursing Scholarship winners

A huge shout-out to the winners of the Break Time Nursing scholarship for Semester 1, 2024 -- final year students Sisilia Tauataina (Bachelor of Nursing Pacific) and Coleene Rya Fronda (Bachelor of Nursing).

Sisilia and Coleene both receive a one-off payment of $250, thanks to the support of Sandhya and Devyash Patel of Break Time on Manukau Campus, who are generously funding the scholarship for two students each semester for the next three years.

Sisilia and Coleene demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to learning and pursuing a career in their chosen industry, along with initiative in their personal life and study.

The scholarship, which assists with expenses incurred during clinical placements, is designed to support final year MIT Nursing ākonga in the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (Level 7)
  • Bachelor of Nursing Māori (Level 7)
  • Bachelor of Nursing Pacific (Level 7)
